Jogging and walking in the pine forest

The Pine Forest of Marina di Cecina has been established for decades in the Tomboli di Cecina Natural Reserve. It is an area of 465 hectares that extends along the coast for about 15 km and is ideal for some jogging under the shade of the pine trees and holm oaks that characterise it; it is also ideal for a walk in the countryside with the family.

Here, wildlife lovers might encounter shy rabbits, smart weasels and foxes, loving squirrels, and, rarely, unfriendly crested porcupines and even jumping roe deer. Turtle doves, hoopoes, woodpeckers, and woodpigeons nest on the tree branches. An ideal place to go with children for some fun under the shade of the trees.
