Frequently asked questions about Hotel Cecina Beach in Marina di Cecina

Here you’ll find answers to the questions guests ask us most often, before and during their stay.

Location and beach

Is the hotel really on the beach?

Yes. Hotel Cecina Beach is on the seafront of Marina di Cecina, at Viale della Vittoria 40: from the door to the sand it’s just a few steps, with no roads to cross. On the other side is the pedestrian avenue with restaurants, gelaterias and shops.

Are the umbrella and sun loungers included in the price?

Yes, while the beach is set up for the season: an umbrella, sun lounger and deckchair are already assigned to your room, at the beach club next to the hotel. You’ll also find a beach towel for each guest in your room. If you want to know whether your dates fall within the period, message us.

What’s the beach in front of the hotel like?

It’s a dark sand beach with a few pebbly stretches, and it holds the 2026 Blue Flag. The water is clean and usually calm. In summer the sand gets hot in the sun: best to have flip-flops.

Breakfast

How late can you have breakfast?

Until noon, every day, from 8 am. It’s a buffet with cakes homemade every morning, savoury tarts, crostini, fresh fruit, cold cuts, cheese and eggs cooked to order. In fine weather you can have it on the terrace, facing the sea.

Is breakfast suitable for people with allergies, intolerances or coeliac disease?

Yes. Let us know when you book: we prepare gluten-free products and alternatives for special requirements, and in the breakfast room there’s someone who can answer your questions about ingredients.

Rooms

Which rooms have a sea view?

The Sea View Room looks out on the Tyrrhenian from its window. The Patio Room and the Junior Suite have a loggia at beach level. The Room with Terrace has a private terrace with hot tub on the pedestrian avenue. The Relax Room and the Ground Floor Room have no view. The first-floor sun terrace, facing the sea, is open to everyone.

What’s the ground floor room like?

Spacious, quiet and step-free, with high windows: they let in the light, not the view. It suits those who prefer to avoid stairs or use the room mainly for sleeping. We’re telling you up front so you can choose calmly.

Is the loggia of the Patio rooms private?

Yes, it’s reserved for your room. You reach it from the corridor, a few steps from your door, not directly from inside. There are no steps from the loggia to the sand.

Is the minibar included?

Yes. We restock it every day and don’t put it on your bill.

Do the rooms have air conditioning and Wi-Fi?

Yes, all of them: air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, satellite TV, kettle for tea and coffee, desk and hairdryer.

Car, ZTL and arrival

Is there parking?

Yes. Each room has a reserved, covered parking space in front of the hotel. The spaces suit normal-sized cars: if you’re travelling with a very large vehicle, let us know.

How do you enter the seafront ZTL?

Send us your number plate before you arrive, by WhatsApp or e-mail: we register it for the days of your stay and you can drive right up to the hotel without fines.

Can I use the car in the evening?

In summer, in the evening hours, the avenue in front of the hotel is pedestrian only and during that time cars can’t enter or leave. If you’re planning dinner out of town, tell us at reception: we’ll show you a public car park outside the ZTL, a few minutes’ walk away.

How do I get there without a car?

By train to Cecina station, on the Pisa–Rome line, then a local bus or taxi for the roughly 3 km to the sea. Taxis must be booked: tell us your train time and we’ll arrange it. From Pisa airport: PisaMover to Pisa Centrale and then a train to Cecina, or the transfer we arrange on request.

Your stay and booking

What time are check-in and check-out?

Check-in is from 3 pm to 8 pm, check-out by 10 am. If you’re arriving later, let us know and we’ll sort it out. If you’d like one last morning at the beach, ask: when the room is free we’ll find a way.

Is reception open 24 hours?

No, we’re a small hotel. Reception is staffed during the day and into the evening; outside those hours you can reach us by phone.

What languages do you speak?

Italian, English, German and Czech.

Do you accept pets?

No, sorry: we don’t accept pets.

Is the hotel suitable for families with children?

Yes. The Junior Suite sleeps up to four, is at beach level with no steps and has a reserved loggia. The beach is on the doorstep, the seafront is pedestrian in the evening and Cecina has a water park. At breakfast, the homemade cakes keep everyone happy.

When is the hotel open?

From April to October. The beach service is included while the beach club is set up.

How do I book? How do payment and cancellation work?

Booking on our website means no middlemen, and you talk directly to us. When you book, we ask for a credit card as a guarantee, which may be pre-authorised, or a 20% deposit by bank transfer. Non-refundable rates are paid in full at the time of booking. Cancellation is free within the terms stated in your rate; after that, or if you leave early, the full amount is due. On arrival we need a valid ID for each guest. At the hotel you can pay in cash or by card (Visa, Mastercard, Bancomat).
